Currently, Pillar Global Solutions is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented CNO Network Administrator to join our team in the Stafford, VA area to provide support on a federal Program. The Program is a high-profile, high-visibility, cybersecurity modernization and risk management program where you can contribute innovative solutions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Administer, install, secure, maintain, and support local and wide area networking, communications, and related software/hardware within a multi-platform operating environment
Work with users to evaluate hardware and software network needs and requirements and make recommendations
Coordinate technical installation of hardware requirements
Install application software programs on the LAN
Maintain, creates/delete user accounts, maintain and update system security plans on platforms
Help to develop uniform operating procedures for administering and sustaining network environments
Enforce applicable security procedures
Provide software and hardware familiarization and mentorship to users and team members
Remain current on technological developments and applications, evaluate vendor products to make recommendations for purchase
Recommend systems, systems security, network, and network security policies
Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects
Provide solutions to a variety of complex technical problem
Manage network communications engineering, testing, installation, and support, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems
Create and implement router and switch configurations
Identify and diagnose problems affecting network performance using software and hardware tools
Provide recommendations to enhance and improve network performance and security
Provide quality assurance review and evaluation of new and existing networking product 
Minimum 10 years experience
Requires BS degree (in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field)
Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
Cisco CCNA (R&S or Security) certification, DoD 8570 IAT level II compliant
Experience with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio
Experience with military or DoD networks
Ability to travel in CONUS up to 25% annually

Experience with Routers: Cisco ASR, 2900, CSR1000v; Juniper MX-5; Brocade NetIron; VyOS/Vyatta and/or Quagga
Experience with Switches: Cisco 6500, 4500, 3800, 3700, 3600, 3130; Juniper EX-4200; Brocade ICX; Dell 8024; VMware Standard and Distributed vSwitch
Experience with Firewalls / Encryptors: Cisco ASA; Sourcefire; Imperva Secure Sphere; Palo ALto 5000; McAfee NGFW; Juniper SRX and SG; Fortinet FortiGate; PfSense; KG-175D
Knowledge of and experience with Layer 2 Technologies: STP, VLANs, PVLANs
Knowledge of and experience with Layer 3 Technologies: Routing protocols (EIGRP, ISIS, OSPF, RIPv2, BGP)
Knowledge of and experience with First Hop Redundancy Protocols (FHRP): HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP
Knowledge of and experience with VPN technologies: MPLS (Layer 2 & 3), GRE, IPSEC
Knowledge of and experience with Data Center technologies: Fabricpath, VDC, vPC, OTV, vxLAN, Nexus 7k, 5k, 2k, 1000v; B22-Dell; Fabric interconnects (6200UP), MDS (9000), UCS B & C Series; VMware NSX
Knowledge of and experience with Storage technologies and capabilities: FC, FCoE, VSANs, WWNN, WWPN
